SOUNDS OF SILENCE

And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth ..Revelations 21

ROSEBUD TO ROSE

This Journey is over,
the grass, gone to clover,
each one, with four lucky leaves,
Sisters and Brothers,
walking together,
now open and ready, to BELIEVE

Walking together,
Hearts open forever,
the past is surely fading, fast,
sharing our Gifts, so freely,
to ALL, we LOVE dearly,
feeling, knowing, the TIME is at last

To go with the seasons,
just Trust, Faith, needs no reasons,
for each one, has to Be,
Love within us,feeling, growing,
with each open petal, a knowing,
soon to fully Bloom and to be FREE

Rosebud to Rose,
all petals now open.
the Love, so easy to see,
Rosebud to Rose,
the lessons now learned .
what did we learn?
Ah yes, just to Be

No more wanting to hide,
for we can now see inside,
the Roses are You and are me,
fully open to show,
Our LOVE, for to grow,
our beautiful Roses are now FREE

Fragrance of LOVE, in the air,
filling all Souls as we share,
this beauty, destined to Be,
let each Heart be in Bliss,
with Love s magicKal Kiss ,
for all, to be able to “see”

Rosebud to Rose,
how Thee I do Love,
Though the Journey was long
and shadows casting,
Rosebud to Rose,
you have learnt well,
now go teach and help,
those whom are asking

from one Rose to Another
Namaste

hehehe ..LOVE IT !! Jim, . authentic  earthy  TRUTH ... the first steps to the getting to truly know ourselves masks are off, we are vulnerable and naked, just like a new born baby  ....  even if we were  sort  of "pushed" into it ;O)  its our choice to take it on .... CONGRATULATIONS  woooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Of course I can't edit - the 2nd stanza, the last word of the last line is supposed to say "all the taking with so little giving"

I just knew you had other art inside you Bev.  A poem like that doesn't happen for non-artistic people, unless like Edgar Cayce or David Wilcock - they just sit down and immediately are "taken over" till it's over.  Not that I know if David or Edgar were artists or not because I do not - it's just that part of their art was more or less automatic - hence Edgar - "the Sleeping Prophet")

My poetry came to me, upon my request - instantaneously after I'd gotten hurt, slipping going out my drive on my bike (1300 cc's) in a mud-pit. To shorten a long boring story - I broke my ankle - living alone, back in the woods, 5 miles away from anything, with my only transportation a 1300 cc motorcycle.  Difficult to ride a motorcycle with a broken ankle.

"What to do?  I've got 6 - 8 weeks of healing - no-one here but me. No internet, no phone, no TV or radio, no books or papers...hell, I'm screwed!.....Wait...I know, I still have my laptop although no internet, it's still a word processor - I think I'll start writing poems", and the next day - BOOM - they just started coming. always at least one a day, but sometimes two, three or more. I wrote well over 100 poems in about 6 months.  Here's my first one (waaaah, waaaah "poor poor pitiful me") called:

A Perfect Day for Drinking - August 24, 2009

Jim Magee - Poet of the "Common" Man

Dedicated to Ed Taylor for "saving my ass"

It was a cold winter's day in the middle of June

I thought about driving to town but I'd been drinking since noon

I'd been busy on the phone.....I found it.....under my chair

I asked "what do you want for dinner?" but there wasn't anybody there

I'd spent most of the day contemplating changing my mind

But then, the more I thought about it - maybe some other time

There's gotta be a better way of making a living

Cuz I'm getting pretty tired of all the taking with so little drinking

Chorus 1:

Hell, it just might be the "perfect day for drinking"

I don't have my schedule planned today

The more I think about it gets me thinking

Another drink's already on the way

My buddy Ed called me up about ten o' clock this morning

He asked me what my plans were, and did he need to give me warning?

He's got a 12-pack and a pizza and plenty of free time

I said "grab another '12ver' brother, you must be reading my mind.....cuz

Chorus 2:

It's starting to look like the "perfect day for drinking"

My schedule's opened up all by itself

Now's not the time for "heavy thinking"

"Hand me that "church key", it's sitting on the shelf"

Life is simple when you live alone - most days, plans are made

Engineering world defense, while sitting in the shade

I actually used to have a life, back some time ago

I turned around - it was gone - where? - I just don't know.....but I do know

Chorus 3:

There's never been a better day for drinking

The beer is cold and I'm as thirsty as can be

It's hardly ever really bad, I'm thinking

And an "Ice-cold Frosty's" sounding GREAT to me

Thank you Jim, so glad you enjoyed it ...grin truthfully Jim  this came through within 5-10 minutes ... something triggered and  it was there ... normally does with poems, its the paintings that take longer and a lot more patience, because they are only ready  WHEN the time is right ... and if something changes oh heck then i ve been known to get up in the morning and paint over the whole of a , "thought to be finished",canvas, because I could FEEL something wasnt right,  to begin again :O) and bring that ,what IS, the NOW   .. all a part of our guided HeArtwork   :O)    We are ALL so very Blessed  ..

Wishing you a  wonderfilled weekend

and looking forward to feeling into your poems soon xxx

Great Poem Bev!  How long did it take you to write it?  I know probably 99% of my poems are like taking dictation.  An idea hits me - I sit down and pull up my "poetry template" and just start typing and most of the time I don't even know the name until the last line.  I wrote one on the 20th of this month - inspired by & dedicated to Ametrine called "Color Doesn't Matter" - that one, because of the recent back & forth with Damian & Ametrine - I knew the name and just sat right down and "transcribed" it! - I just wish I could get paid for all the good stuff I've come up with that I know - DID NOT COME FROM ME! (I wish I knew who the poet was that's inside me)  Most of my poems I call "5-minute specials"   Again Bev - GREAT POEM!
