Ascension/Evolution: Will Some of Us Disappear From Physicality?

I believe we humans, each and every one of us, are evolving as a collective. We are all moving without the ability to block the process for evolution cannot be stopped. And, at the same time, each of us is an individual, following our own individual trajectory towards a new way of being and so all will be called collectively and yet each will move individually.

That is an energetic evolutionary interpretation -a totally different understanding than the concept of ascension.

Will some of us disappear and others get left behind

That is the energetic evolutionary interpretation -a totally different understanding than the concept of ascension.

Will some of us disappear and others get left behind? It is certainly possible, but the explanation I offer for this phenomenon is not religious or spiritual; it is energetic.

We are not ascending or disappearing from physicality and being taken up to join with g-d; we are evolving. As our energies speed up, as we shift our way of being and living as energetic creatures, we may eventually loose our bodies. This might take years, decades or centuries, but it does seem to be inevitable. How will it occur? I do not know. We can all speculate as much as we wish, but since this evolution has never taken place before, we are just guessing and trying to turn the unknown into facts that are not known.

Let's put our focus on what is happening right before our eyes as we exist here today, 2012.

What can we become aware of energetically' that we were unaware of before?

What can we awaken to inside of us energetically, around us energetically, in the larger global field energetically?

How will this new awareness lead us to act?

What will these awakenings lead us to feel and do?

What can we learn about being affected by the energies and affecting them in return?

What steps can we take today to act as if the evolutionary shifts have already taken place that will, in turn, speed up the process?

How can we move the evolutionary process forward?

Can we? Are we willing?

That is where I feel we need to focus, rather than on the disappearing act of a few so-called 'enlightened' beings.

However, it is certainly possible that one day in the future, some individuals will evolve faster than others. Their frequencies will speed up to such an extent, they will become less and less dense, less and less physically present, and more and more energetically, vibrationally lighter and lighter until one day, they could indeed, disappear... 
Ah... the wonders of new world!

Hi Elaine

Wow - 21st December was amazing - trust you had a great one was well.

Re you insightful response - Time Freke is a UK "standup philosopher" whose latest book is the Mystery Experience - http://www.themysteryexperience.com/ and he has lots on youtube - and he coined the term paralogical to give a name to the experience of being one with everything and also a separate being experiencing the Oneness - hard to describe - it is not merging with oneness so much as experiencing both Oneness and Separation - because you can't experience anything without separation of some sort.

An yes I have read lots of Bruce Lipton and heard him speak - my favorite is Spontaneous Evolution, and I like his analogies (particularly the one about dinosaur extinction being similar to what will happen to the monster corporations that are doing so much damage to the planet) - and yes spiral is a better understanding than linear for the evolutionary process - but it still goes from nothing or very little to ever increasing complexity  - whereas the ascension idea is that we have been here before and just going round the cycle again (or for the first time) - I see these two perspectives to be quite different - and using paralogical thinking maybe both are happening - which gives best explained by the spiral - circling around but going somewhere.

Hi Bob,

Really interesting comments.! I think you may be on to something.  I am not familiar with the term 'paralogical' and would like to learn more.  Can you share more of what you mean by being 'both Oneness and Me'.  Does that mean one would be merged in unity with other humans and yet be an individual at the same time?

I did not understand the distinction originally, but have come to agree that the current Energetic Evolution is happening at the species level to every one of us, as you said, (whether we like it or not) and Ascension is happening at the personal level and both are occurring at the same time.

Your comment about evolution being 'linear' is intriguing.  I hadn't thought of that before.  If you have not read any of Bruce Lipton's books, I strongly recommend them.  I just heard him speak at the UpLift Festival (12.12.12) in Byron Bay, Australia.  He made a very clear case for the evolution of the species being spiral from single cell organism to proliferation to the unification of many cells and then those groups joining forces to become yet again another organism.    If that is so, when we complex beings join forces we will become something totally different than what we were as individuals and that makes sense to me in light of what information I have already received.  I see Ascension on the other hand, as the more linear process. Once we merge with God or the Source, that is the end...  I guess we will find out as we proceed.

Hi Elaine - thank you for your wise comments (and hope all the Hurricane sandy "debris" is all cleared up now).

I wonder if the distinction between Evolution and Ascension, as we are discussing them, is the "paralogical place" (courtesy of Tim Freke) where it is both Oneness & Me here in its personal form - So Evolution is happening in Oneness in the collective at the species level (whether we like it or not) and Ascension is happening at the personal level - soul level - and both are happening at the same time - and seem to be connected. It is not an either / Or situation.

The other thought that came up was that Evolution has the sense of starting from nothing and growing linearly or close the linear to the Omega point. Whereas Ascension has the senses of descending from Source and now we are on the Ascension process back to Source (and when we get there we can decide to go round again - or just merge back to Source - it is going to be a difficult decision).

Thanks for your clarifying comment.  I agree that Ascension is not automatic as is evolution.  Each human must make a conscious effort to awaken and shift one's spiritual awareness, thoughts, beliefs and actions.  The important distinction between these two concepts for me is that Ascension is a spiritual opening and development, a movement spiritually towards a oneness with God or the all that is.  By contrast, I see the current  Evolution as a natural energetic process in which our human awareness, focus, perceptions and ability to work with energy in the unseen realms occurs without our effort.  It is happening right now as we share, has been happening since the mid 80's and will, I believe, continue to happen as we move forward over the next decade or so.  It is a natural shift in our vibrational and dimensional make upas beings.  We can't start or stop it.  It just IS.  We can open to it, not resist it and make it easier for ourselves, but unlike ascension, we can't catalyze its unfolding.

All lifeforms are continuously evolving. Evolution is an ongoing design, just as our breaths and organs in the physical body. We dont participate actively with realization however it continues to perform its function. Evolution is such a design. Ascension is a multi-dimensional  movement, and is through our awareness and conscious effort. Ascension is not automatic as evolution. Even the unawakened are evolving ! But they need to gain awareness and make a conscious endeavour, or concerted effort, in order to ascend from their level of dimension and reality.

Sorry, it has been so long since I commented on this discussion. Hurricane Sandy, two weeks of personal physical/ energetic response to the storm took me off-line for a bit. (I spent two weeks metaphorically & physically trying to cough up all the toxic debris brought into the open by the storm.). I am finally back to a regular routine and I found your comment.
I, like you, have been confused by these two terms. They are most often used interchangeably. However, my Guides continue to instruct me in the difference between the two processes. I believe they are simultaneous - ascension happening spiritually at a personal, individual level and evolution happening energetically at the group or species level. Once I understood that difference, the two words made more sense. It is challenging, however, as the world at large has not separated them. I keep asking myself if it necessary and beneficial to make the distinction? And, my response has been yes. I have found it very exciting and liberating to focus on the energetics of life, what is happening in and around me energetically. It has give me insights and information that I would otherwise have missed and has even shifted my perceptions spiritually. (see chapter on God in my book, Multi-Dimensional You. 
I support the wise teachers you mentioned, however it seems to me that Craig Hamilton and Barbara Marx Hubbard are talking about personal transformation in general, not evolutionary terms , even though they use the word, evolution. I am literally talking about the unfolding of a new species that I am calling 'Homo Energeticus' (TM). And Drunvalo's focus on ascension is also, I think, a more personal perspective. 
No need to fuss over the terms, however, as long as we are clear, I believe, that there are two distinct processes occurring and we need to be aware of and work on one (ascension) and learn about and be open, not resistant, to the other (evolution).

Thanks Elaine - for your very comprehensive explanation - yes words can sometimes be misleading (particularly when mercury is retrograde) - so it is very helpful to clarify what exactly you mean when you use a word such as Evolution. I used to be a huge fan of Evolutionary spirituality - Andrew Cohen, Craig Hamilton (eg did his 1 year course Evolutionary Life Transformation program) and Barbara Marx Hubbards - Agents of Conscious Evolution.

But recently I have been drawn to the Ascension process (Drunvalo Melchizedek, Ascension Now - anow.org), Children of the Sun etc.

My first thoughts are that your Energetic evolution is happening at a higher dimension and we in 3D have little or no say in the process. I agree that Mother Earth (Gaia) is ascending and that is the primary drive and we are just piggy backing on her evolution/ascension into 5D - so maybe all we need to do is choose Love to go with Gaia up the evolutionary steps to higher dimensions? So in your terms Gaia is evolving and we in 3d are ascending?

Hi Bob, Thanks for your comment.  It is not that I like the word, 'Evolution', and  dislike the word, 'Ascension', but rather that I make a distinction between the two concepts.  To me, Ascension is a three dimensional concept that exists in the three dimensional realm, describing the process of raising one's vibration, bit by bit, lifetime after lifetime, until we join and become one with the godhead.  This is a spiritual concept.  By contrast, 'evolution', at least the energetic evolution to which I am referring is a 4th or other dimensional process that takes place regardless of one's individual personal transformation in our 3 D lifetimes.  It takes place whether we like it, want it, work towards it or not, and it leads ultimately  to becoming one with the collective as opposed to the godhead.  It is strictly an energetic concept, not a physical or spiritual one (Physical evolution is a separate subject, though it might unfold simultaneously.)  

I believe that we are in the midst of an energetic evolution  in which humanity is evolving energetically with consciousness.  This has never happened before.  it is very exciting to think that we are evolving and are aware of that evolution as it is happening; that is what makes it doubly amazing.  it therefore behooves all of us who are awake to share this awareness with others and to continue to pay attention to the energetic world around us for it is more and more present in our lives (We are more intuitive than ever; we experience more synchronicities than ever, etc.).  As we pay attention to the unseen realms we are more and more able to receive messages from that world.
